Week 9: Producers Choice
This is also a really good idea if the sound is accompanied by video because it also allows you to see the screen, which is benificial. I think this is my favorite method for recording foley. It also gets extra absorption thanks to the thick clothes forming a barrier. This day we did footsteps, hammering and destruction noises. This was around a six hour process, but felt a little longer than that. Footstpes were probably the hardest part, because each step needs to be there and also the surface needs to sound authentic. The audio needs to accompany the video and needs to sound plausible. So i think this is my new favorite method of recording sounds that accompany video in a studio setting.

E.O.C Week 8- What is a producers most important role?
A producer has a watch full eye over the production. Their are many different kinds of producers. executive producer, producer, line producer, associate producer. Each supervise over the production but rank accordingly.
The executive producer is at the top of the list. They find the financing to get your film off the ground and also has say over your choice of cast and crew. They choose which director to hire and also who are the lead actor's in the film. So they have the initial say so for who is linked to this project, so the early success and failure is on them. So they gain more ownership over the film. The producer supervises and takes control of the film. This person oversees the project from the very early stages and stays with the project until there is a form of completion. This person is also responsible for hiring cast, crew, technical and the financial means for the film.
The line producer is always thinking about how to manage each day for every aspect of the film. This producer is also apart of the hiring process, and helps with organizing for the production office. The line producer does not share in any of the ownership of the film however. An associate producer is a title given to increase the interest of certain people to have their names attached to the project. A method used to help attract investors and also big named actors. They don't own a part of the film just like the line producer.
Producers have a hard job, they need to make sure they can get their job done. They need to make sure funds are their for the film to get started. This in tandem with who they hire is their most important role, because a miss calculation of either of these can result in a bad film.

Week 7 Weekly Photo Challenge Screenplay Cover
This is my screenplay cover for leech. This story came to me in a dream and when i woke up i wrote it down. It was really visual and scared me a bit. The cover has a leech and some rose petals to show that love was lost.
The story is about a guy whose girlfriend suddenly disappears and he isn't sure whats going on, but he did have a feeling she was cheating. His friend tries to get him out of his rut and tries to get him out to see new people. He still feels her presence and doesn't want to move on at that very moment. His friend still tries to push him to move on from her. he soon finds out that his girlfriend is trying to contact him but she just seems different, she is starting to become overly protective of him and he doesn't know why. He's happy she's back but also very scared of her at the same time.
His friend notices that something isn't right, but when he confronts her she threatens him and he wants to get to the bottom of the situation. As the story continues he finds a trail of lies she has been telling his friend but to help his friend, he needs to help her.

Week 6 Photo Challenge
Here is a sound effect i did for a key pad in a video called Peresto. I chose the keypad as my special effect mostly because it looks really cool and i thought a cool sound should accompany it. The story is about a man that is trying to escape something, kind of like a futuristic James Bond. Think about it to get into your room you need your hand to be scanned sounds pretty secretive to me.
I really like this project and there were other sections that i could have chosen but i chose this one because it was the most visual appealing. I chose to go with a very mechanical sound first. Which was layered on top of swooping type noises for the initiation of hand movement of the scanner. I wanted to go with things that I would think you would hear from this machine.

Week 6 E.O.C- How do I see my role starting in the industry?
I see myself starting out in an assistant role or getting coffee or just helping out in anyway. I hate to say that but I know this way is more realistic for me, and is the case in most creative field. Then after that I will continue to grow and show my dedication towards that field.
I think after that I will get a better position and be more accountable for a lot more things pertaining to the business. I think with everything I’ve been taught and the work that I have put in at school, I have an expectation to get a good job in the industry immediately. I know what is realistic and I think that is where I stand. I have no problem working my way up to tell people that I really care about my work and love audio as a whole. I know that eventually if I want to get into sound design and foley I need to get serious about learning as much as possible and meeting a ton of people. I think I can do that I just got to try to learn as much as possible and talk to people who do it everyday.
That’s how you can get further into something that you love doing by talking to people who are used to doing it. It gives you something to look forward to and it also gives you someone to talk to if you ever encounter a problem. This is always something to shoot forward to.
